Pastor Micah is currently living in Hawley, MN, with his wife, Madison Johnson. They have one son named Jericho, who was born on April 10, 2022 (Palm Sunday!), a daughter, Eden, born on August 4, 2023, and a miniature Goldendoodle named Fenway. He started as the Pastor of HLS on August 22, 2022. Micah is also a Chaplain Candidate in the North Dakota Army National Guard. He graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, in May 2020 and is currently enrolled in the Master of Divinity program at the Institute of Lutheran Theology.

Micah's favorite part of the ministry is being with you! He loves to get out and in the community in any way possible and has a desire to share the Good News with everyone. Micah is also connected to a few organizations that share this desire, including Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ (LCMC), Augustana District, and Mount Carmel Ministries. Before serving at HLS, Micah served families as a student and family ministry coordinator at Central Lutheran Church in Elk River, MN. He has been committed to serving others and sharing the Gospel for as long as he has been able.

Micah also enjoys all Minnesota sports, even when they let him down. He loves hunting, fishing, and getting coffee with people!

Rebecca "Becky" Meyer is our Office Manager. She joined HLS in June of 2010. She serves HLS by providing clerical and administrative support to the pastor, leaders and members of the parish. Since January 2018, she has also taken on a large share of the responsibilities of a parish treasurer. Becky considers it her call to be kind and helpful to everyone and provide a positive, human presence for the good of HLS.

In 2002 God presented Becky with an opportunity to provide office support to the multi-point parish in Gary. This turned out to be a great fit for her gifts that she didn't know she was looking for! Twenty years later, she is thankful for all the experiences and wonderful people this initial opportunity has brought to her life.

Becky grew up in Gary, MN. Her family has been deeply involved in WMSTR for 4+ decades. Becky and her husband, Joel Hanson, live near Flom on the farmstead where her Dad grew up. They enjoy fishing and their annual trips to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area.
